    1949 WHITMAN PUBLISHING “MAKE MARY'S CLOTHES” PAPER DOLL SET IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH REAL CLOTH FOR CLOTHES
    I have been working on liquidating my late sisters collections and many of you who
    have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!!   I HAVE FUN SEARCHING THROUGH ALL OF HER INTERESTING FINDS! This paper doll set is a 1949 release from Whitman Publishing.
    Meet "MARY" an 8 1/2 inch tall Paper Doll.   THIS PAPER DOLL SET IS TITLED "MAKE MARY'S CLOTHES" THAT WAS MADE IN 1949.  This is rather a unique Paper Doll as her clothing was to be made of CLOTH.  The full instruction sheet for creating 6 outfits for the doll is included.  When completed the outfits will include a: SUNDAY DRESS, PAJAMAS, A PARTY DRESS, A SCHOOL DRESS, A PEASANT DRESS, AND A SUNSUIT.  The complete instruction sheet is included along with the cloth for making the clothes and all of the patterns are included as well.  The pattern sheet is currently in two pieces but at least it is all still in the box.   Mary, the paper doll is in great condition and she does have her original plastic stand as well.   Mary is an 8 3/8 inch tall paper doll.  The original box lid does have some minor wear.
