    ISSUED STANDARD TOYCRAFT CO.  "BETSY McCALL'S FASHION SHOP EMBROIDERY SET"  PAPER DOLL BOXED SET #401
    I am still working on liquidating my late sisters collections and many of you who have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!  Since I am not a collector I do have to apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject.  If I have grossly misstated anything in the description it is fine if you want to correct me.  I am now working on a 'new' bundle of paper dolls and other items that I just took into my possession, have fun exploring them right along with me!!
    This RARE set is titled "BETSY McCALL'S FASHION SHOP EMBROIDERY SET" FEATURING BETSY McCALL.  This paper doll set is in NEW CONDITION as the doll stand nor the cloth clothing for the doll has ever been removed from the original box.  In fact, the Paper Doll Stand, Instruction Sheet and Bag of Sequins are STILL STAPLED ON THE INSIDE OF THE BOX.  The clothing is to be embroidered with the included embroidery thread and there is even a needle to use included in the box as well.  Once the clothing has been embroidered and cut out the clothes can be just pressed onto the doll for it to stay in place.  Previously I have sold a BARBIE, BARBIE & KEN and a MIDGE set that was very similar to this set.   Betsy is an 8 1/2 inch tall paper doll that is very good CONDITION!!  The original cellophane has since disintegrated and a sheet of plastic has been added to cover the doll and most of the clothing.  The Embroidery instruction sheet and the bag of Sequin accents are still stapled in the box.  The original box does have one corner of the lid that has split.
