    I have been working on liquidating my late sisters collections and many of you who
    have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!!   I HAVE FUN SEARCHING THROUGH ALL OF HER INTERESTING FINDS! This paper doll set is a 1949 release from Whitman Publishing.
    Meet "THE GINGHAM'S".  If you were a seventies child or seventies mother, chances are you remember Becky, Sarah, Katie and Carrie-The Gingham Paper Dolls.  These cheery little girl paper dolls played in perfectly to the old-time country style made popular in this decade by TV shows like 'Little House on the Prairie' and fashions like the Gunnie Sax peasant dress.  Dressing in Victorian-esque clothing, trimmed with that trademark gingham fabric, these paper dolls were among the very favorites of so many little girls of this era.  The Gingham's appeared in a thrilling series of boxed play sets, each complete with a background scene, special clothes, accessories and even pets.  Each boxed paper doll set features one of the little Gingham girls.  In this auction I have ALL FOUR OF THE GINGHAM PLAY SETS AND ALL OF THEM ARE IN NEW UPOPENED CONDITION!!  Number 7319A features BECKY'S TEA PARTY; #7319B is CARRIE'S COUNTY FAIR, #7319C is KATIE'S ARTIST LOFT, AND #7319D is SARAH'S PET SHOP.  Sorry I do not have photos of the doll's or their clothing but I did not want to open any of these boxes.
