Description
Today I'm offering this cool book called Adventure in Service, presented to new members of Rotary upon joining. This copy was presented to Harry Badla (but signed on the inside cover Harry R. Balb or Balle Sr.), at the meeting of the Rotary Club of East Carbon (County, Utah), by President Aaron (I think) Carlson, Jr., and Secretary Edmond Krohn on November 5, 1953. I think this is an awesome piece of history for this part of Utah, which couldn't have been well populated in 1953. The book includes an actual photo of founder, Paul P. Harris, and measures 5-5/8" x 8-3/4". Mr. Harris conceived of and created the organization in 1905 and it had spread internationally by 1949. This book has a blue cover and was copyrighted in 1949 and was in its seventh printing by March 1953. This could be a great addition to your personal collection or to the Rotary historical collection in Utah.Photos are part of the description so be sure to look carefully. This item comes from a
no smoking, no pet
home. Please note that any white spots or lines on the photos are glare from overhead lights and not damage on the item, unless I so indicate in the foregoing description.
Many of the items I sell are vintage and usually pre-owned so are likely not perfect. However, I do my best to describe the item(s) and its condition accurately and completely including any blemishes. Although I do not rely
solely
on photos to describe the items I sell, photos are an integral part of the description, so be sure to look at them all.
