Description
This came from the 1987 Paper Doll Convention themed "Hurray for Hollywood " and was held in LA, California. "Mae West" was the gorgeous creation of Satch La Valley. Publishers Agnes Garr and Gene Maiden did the printing of this exceptional set. Only 200 were given out at the convention. Please take note of the incredible artwork that went into this very rare set. The is one doll in the excellent likeness of Mae West with 9 exquisite costumes from her famous movies and plays. And don't forget those HATS!!! There were very few paper doll sets of Mae West, making her a very rare subject. This measures 16" x 12" and is on 4 sheets of light cardstock. There is a slight bend through the set due to poor shipping from the last collector. That can be seen in the last photo. This is a wonderful souvenir to add to any collection!!!I've bought my huge collection from estate sales and from other collectors on here. I don't know the previous storage history. My collection is stored in a smoke/pet free area in my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7. People did smoke back then, I have a poor sense of smell at my age, and I don't know if that lingers. I try to list all flaws with the paper dolls that I sell.
I only ship to the USA. I usually take orders to the post office on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 10AM eastern time.
