Description
In 1980, Jean Woodcock held a paper doll convention at her Akron, Ohio Merrill Publishing location. It was to celebrate her purchase of the company. I never knew this until I recently read an old newsletter. Woodcock commissioned Marilyn Henry to do this beautiful "Vivien Leigh" set as a souvenir for convention attendees. The artwork and colors are amazing. My photos don't do this justice. There are many of the costumes that Leigh wore in "Gone with the Wind" and gorgeous outfits for daily wear. Photos take you through the book, front to back. Both of the punch out dolls are slightly lifting from the cardstock covers and that is shown as well. This measures 12.25" x 10.75".I've bought my huge collection from estate sales and from other collectors on eBay. I don't know the previous storage history. My collection is stored in a smoke/pet free area in my home, with a dehumidifier running 24/7. People did smoke back then, I have a poor sense of smell at my age, and I don't know if that lingers. I try to list all flaws with the paper dolls that I sell.
I only ship to the USA. I usually take orders to the post office on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 10AM eastern time.
