  • Condition: The souvenir program is in good, vintage condition, with no missing or torn pages, no writing on any of the pages, and minimal soiling and wear (primarily consisting of finger prints to a couple of the internal pages). However, while all of the pages are present, they have all separated from the staples and as a result are not bound together. In addition, there is significant chipping and tearing to the covers along the spine, which does impact over half of the length of the spine.

    Up for auction is a vintage souvenir program book, measuring approximately 9 by 12 inches in size.  The sixteen page Souvenir Program is for Leon Gordon's "White Cargo", which played in both New York and London, in 1923, and was directed by Earl Carroll.  The play was the first on Broadway to depict an inter-racial marriage between a white man and a black woman.
    The souvenir program is in good, vintage condition, with no missing or torn pages, no writing on any of the pages, and minimal soiling and wear (primarily consisting of finger prints to a couple of the internal pages).  However, while all of the pages are present, they have all separated from the staples and as a result are not bound together.  In addition, there is significant chipping and tearing to the covers along the spine, which does impact over half of the length of the spine.
